Welcoming in the Young Buddies' very first social event, this welcome BBQ included a feast of food, a share of laughs, throwing of the Frisbee, and painting on the Young Buddies' banner for hope, and message board. It was a day where people came together to share a meal, feel included, exchange kindness and friendship, and meet other like-minded people. 

     At the BBQ, attendance included members from both Young Buddies, and Buddies, whilst the general public were much welcomed to come and eat, and get involved and informed about the issues associated with asylum-seekers and refugees in Australia. All in all, it was a day a warmth, inclusion, energy and social education.
